Ordered an Epox 4PDA2+ rev 2; one of the few dealers to stock the Rev 2 and at a good price too. Not free shipping, but reasonable for the size and weight of the package. Received email confirmation, tracking number, and delivery was 5 days later - enough time for me to have received all the other bits but nowhere to put them yet :-) The EPoX board is very nicely packaged and comes with all kinds of goodies. I did have to contact EPoX tech support but that has nothing to do with Census PC; the board itself works just fine. BTW, EPoX tech support was very responsive both for email and (free) phone support and were (eventually) able to resolve my problem (could not set SATA to Enhanced Mode) by suggesting a BIOS upgrade, which did indeed do the job. Overall I'm very happy with Census PC's service and EPoX's board and tech support. |

I just purchased my motherboard from them today (8rda+). I must say, this is one of THE best companies to buy your computer parts from. They have great customer/seller communications, (answer all your phone calls, reply to all your emails, and will take walk-ins happily)
I bought the board at a GREAT price, and there were extremely generous and did all they could to make me a happy customer. There shipping rates also are very good but if you are live in Southern California, you can just drive there.

Site would not acknowledge free shipping from pricewatch.com. They informed me I should have chose censuspc shipping verse ups ground even though ups ground was default. No where on order to comment. Then they restricted UPS package delivery with "signature in person only". UPS pickup warehouse is 45 minutes from my residence. Total waste of my time and gas to pick up package. Why order online if I had to go thru this type of hassle? |

I was referred to CensusPC by EPoX when I asked where I could pick up the 8RDA+. Having JUST been released, it was somewhat difficult to find the board (NewEgg sold out of their stock in a day). I called CensusPC, and spoke to Henry. Not only was he courteous, he was also intent on making sure I could have my 8RDA+ the same day. HE called ME back to let me know the board was picked up from their warehouse, and OK'd my will-call. I dropped by, paid and picked up the board. No problems since, and I've remained in contact with them. I HIGHLY recommend CensusPC, and will definitely be sure to buy from them in the future for their reliability, quickness, and top-rank service. A+ |

It has been 4 days since the original order (2 weekend days) and it still says 'pending' online, the contact phone number rings without answer.

about 20 minutes after original review, received phone call. Cust service rep was very polite, stated that I should have received an out of stock email. Asked him to call back with estimated date of stock, agreed. At end over conversation, asked me to change/remove my review. Agreed to make changes reflecting current status and will keep updating as status changes. Informed reason phone not picked up was that they were not open until 9:30 Pacific. They said they do have a phone answering system and are unsure why it does not pickup

About 30 minutes later, another very polite person called. Item just received in stock today, will get shipped out today. They have upgraded shipping to 2nd day as well. They were very apologetic.

I cancelled an order with this company and got a cancellation confirmation e-mail from them. They charged my credit card anyway the next day. They say it was a mistakeand that they will issue a credit but they have not yet. It seems that they can charge your credit card instantly, but when it comes to a refund it's always going to be done tomorrow. Don't trust them!

My credit card was eventually credited by this seller. The real problem with this seller seems to be that they charge your credit card when they get an order, and not when the item ships. I don't knowingly buy from sellers who have this policy. In talking with the seller it seems they are willing to make changes to their business practices to make it more customer friendly. If it is important to you to not have your credit card charged until the item actually ships, then check to see if they still have this policy in place before placing an order. |

edit: Jack from census emailed me back in a matter of hours and apologized for the mixup. everything got sorted out and he even waived the $4 shipping charge. the order will ship on monday. i am happy with the service and patronize i have received.
placed order on at about 1 am in the morning on 4/28/05 for a notebook cooler thats $9. i entered my dorm room address to ship it to. about 10 hours later i get an email that the order is on hold because of an unverified address. so i immediately call the number on the email and some one picks up the phone and hangs up on me. what kind of customer service is that? so i replied to the email stating that i tried to ship it to my dorm room. so the next day i get a reply saying that i need to verify the address with my credit card company. i replied immediately and said that i tried and that if it won't go through then just cancel the order so i can replace another one and just ship it to my house. so three days later on 5/2/2005 i get an email reply stating that if i want it shipped to my dorm room i have to call my bank and tell census pc after i do so and they can ship it to my dorm immediately. they basically sent me the same thing even though i requested them to cancel if it still didn't go through. so i called my bank again and they finally got the dorm address down and i emailed census pc back and said it's done, you can verify and ship it to my dorm now. and now it's the end of the week, friday of 5/6/2005 when i sent them the email on monday and i still have not heard back from census pc. the online order status still says on hold unverified address. the website won't let me cancel the order online and the customer service wouldn't listen to me so now i have to wait even longer to get a laptop cooler sent to me that only costs $9. these guys are very unprofessional and nonresponsive. telephone support is a joke. this will be my last purchase if the order goes through. |

I purchased a Epox 4PDA2+ motherboard. The ordering process went smoothly and I received the board promptly. However, the board was defective and I emailed(since I work during service hours)asking if they did advanced RMA and got a prompt response that they did. I then emailed back to state I wished to pursue that avenue. I have yet to get a reply in the past 11 days after sending 6 emails. I have no ideas whether I have a new motherboard coming or if there is even an RMA created for this order. I will update if I ever get an RMA, but there communication is definitely lacking.

I highly recommend doing business with Censuspc.com because they are the most helpful supplier I have ever dealt with. I had a problem computer and several employees spent a lot of time trying to figure out a solution. I ordered the part that we all hoped would fix it. Part arrived very quickly, packaged very well and exactly as described. Unfortuantely, the problem computer remained a problem and therefore the part had to be returned. I was so pleased with all the help Censuspc had given that I told them I didn't expect a refund...I would just return it...but they insisted on giving me a refund anyway! From now on, whenever I need anything, I will always check with Censuspc.com FIRST because I would rather mailorder parts from a company that is as helpful and commited to customer service and customer satisfaction as they are. Company shipped a defective motherboard, issued a RMA, and I actually had to pay return shipping! They refuse to respond to requests for status -- tying up hundreds of dollars spent on components for my new pc. They have made many excuses why I must bear all of their costs of doing business -- very poor attitude and service. In pre-sales I was assured they had plenty of the same board in case a replacement was necessary, once the sale was made they suddenly were out and the product (EP0X EP-8KRA2+) was out of production -- and they have offered nothing as a solution, no options for a replacement board, no refund of my money (other than threats to charge multiple ridiculous "restocking fees", otherwise known as theft since they took my money two months ago and are still in breach of the contract to deliver the working product for which I paid). I have filed a complaint with the CA Attorney General's Office. |

Purchased a Spire CopperStream HSF from them. Got delivered real quick. On inspecting the HSF, there were some minor nicks and three of the fins an one corner were bent. Doesn't look like anything CensusPC did, so I'm ok with it. Not like its gonna affect the cooling capabilities.
All in all, good seller. Only problem is that the website could use some work, like a order tracking page. |

No complaints here. Prices are competitive, they have some killer specials, and free shipping on most items to boot. Of course, its not "free", but its a nice change to shop and put items in your cart without dreading what the shipping is going to be. I was almost suspicious of how CensusPC can include shipping in such competitive prices, but they do it! And what planet did "edoc" come from where it is not standard policy and procedure for the customer to incur the expense of returning an item to the point of sale? Unless the customer receives the wrong item due to clear seller error, this is in perfect keeping with customary practice throughout the industry. Another example of why retards shouldn't be allowed to give reviews. |

Although I received a defective motherboard, it happens. It was probably the shipper's fault as the box was in pretty bad shape. CensusPC has great customer support. After putting in my RMA request, they responded to me immediately and was able to successfully assist me with my situation. They definitely made the inconvenience painless. |

I made an order that was originally denied for some reason. Then I reordered a second time to give them another shot and there was no action. So, I tried to cancel it and a few hours later received an email that it was shipped after I had ordered elsewhere. I eventually returned the item that would not fit. UPS says that they received it on 6/21 but there is no credit yet. The other order I made from GoGoCity was received and credited a long time ago. This is a good company to order from if you are patient and don't need to contact customer service. Unfortunately, they are the slowest billing and returns of any company I have used in the past. I cannot recommend them unless you are patient. The customer service webmaster (Kelvin) is a great contact though I just wish he worked in billing and receiving. :) Go with ZipZoomFly or Directron instead. UPDATE: Their web site says credit issued on 7-7-05. No credit posted per credit card web site yet. Should be all resolved this week I believe. |

I bought a very hard to find Biostar TV Out Cable for only $9, shipping was free. |

Sent wrong item, lied about stock, lied about ship date, lied about return, 3 week headache and still counting.
1) called before placing order to insure item was in stock and would be shipped in 1 or 2 days. Person on phone confirmed.
2) Recieved email with tracking number stating "order shipped" 1-3-06 9:49pm (ordered at 12:00pm).
3) After no information posted by UPS for the tracking number I called 1-9-06. Was told order was shipped and should be there soon. Spoke directly with "warehouse" to be sure information was first hand.
4) After several more days called back. Was told item was shipped under a different tracking number and that the one i had was a mistake. After checking tracking number discovered that package was not scheduled for ship until the day i called.
5) Item arrived. Had been opened by CensusPC and different color cover was put on to match my order. Cover did not fit, was loose and on/off button got stuck.
6) Company continued to deny any wrongdoing when called. Claimed they did not replace cover inspite of the fact that the package said silver, the inserts were silver, the cover did not fit and the cover was white rather than silver. Did not admit to lying about shipping. Did not admit to mistakenly telling me item was in stock over phone.
7) Somebody called back and said they were going to send me a UPS label to return. Sent by regular mail. Did not recieve until 1-23-06. The pick-up charge was NOT paid in the UPS ship.
Conclusion:
This company may have made an honest mistake in the beginning. Rather than owning their part and giving me the information I needed to build my wife's present they told me lie upon lie about availability and shipping. Knowingly sent me an item i did not order and explicitly told them i did not want. Refused to accept responibility and delayed return. Are trying to make me responsible for pick-up charges by UPS. STILL HAVE MY MONEY.
these people are liars and have no respect for there clients. They have wasted may hours of my time over the three weeks they have dragged this out and I still have not been able to return the item they sent me.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE!

From my 1 purchase with this company, I can say that I am really happy with my experience. I ordered a new motherboard from them and it arrived about a week later; when you are talking an APO address that is pretty amazing! I found out that the motherboard in the box was not the one I actually wanted, but that was my fault; I ordered the wrong one. I explained that to them and they shipped the correct one the very next day and again I got it in a week. I am still deciding whether or not to ship the one I didn't really want back to them or keep it and build a good 'budget' PC while I build my new beast.
